I saw it for the first time just yesterday. ;) I've been using twitter for around a year now, but I don't particularly find value in it, in my eyes it's not a good platform for staying connected because it's quite chaotic and disorganised, and even if my friends were on there, the new Facebook layout seems to do the same thing in a much more elegant (and useful IMO) way... But this is simply my opinion. Twitter doesn't have much value for me, but I look forward to finding useful people to follow, and maybe I'll change my mind. :) Jimzip :D The video is indeed hilarious. It's instantaneous, filtered, and to the point (although this really depends on who you are following). However, I think one of the things that draw me towards Twitter is its inherit constraints. I can spend a quick few minutes scanning tweets from NYTimes, Walker Art Centre, a few designers that I follow, and some friends and have a dispersed sense of knowing. It doesn't require me to commit a lot of time into it, and conversely opens up the time for other things. It is focused on delivering a certain experience through certain characteristics and I like that specificity. But, on the flip side - Can this be considered productivity? Is this the new "Feed Me" age where conversations are a quick 140 characters or shorter? I am not quite sure what to make of that just yet.
